Looking back it seems that 2025 became a year of travel. Catering turned 60 in January, which resulted in a couple of trips with old friends,1 to San Sebastian & Rioja and a weekend at the cottage in Dulverton, with people he’s known since he was 12.

We also journeyed to Rome to watch Italy v Ireland (it’s a long story, don’t ask) in March. Expected cold – how wrong could we be.

But we got sun instead

In April we went to Brighton to watch the Smallest Boy run a marathon – Catering unhappy with my choice of accommodation as the club downstairs did not stop rocking until the very early hours of the morning. Take a bow Brighton, you know how to party.
